“Of course I’m happy. You don’t want to let others see you any other way. Why aren’t you happy? Tell your best mate, Scorpius.” he said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and grinned at her, “I’m all ears.”
She nudged his side with a roll of her eyes. “I am happy, Malfoy,” she told him. “But I’m more interested in this mask you seem to be putting up every time I ask about you. Something troubling you?”
Pray tell, what would that be? *suppressing laughter*
You’ll just have to find out!

I mean what I said, and by that, I don’t mean it at all. There’s been a surprising lack of activity around here. You may wish to get your health checked, I thought for a moment that you were actually looking concerned.
Me? Concerned? Very funny. You may have mistaken my concern for confusion -an easy mistake to make, I’m sure, for you. But I agree with you, surprisingly. There’s been far too little activity around here.
“You and I?” Scorpius pretended to be in deep contemplation before he laughed. “I’m not going to lie, I’ve thought about it too. However, you hardly ever notice my intentions. If you do, you’ve ignored them. How typical.”
He shook his head in amusement as he nudged her playfully, “You seem happy now though. With Scamander. So I’m not going to take that away from you. You’d better be thankful.”
“I noticed,” she said with a laugh. “They were sort of funny.” She wrinkled her nose slightly. “And then they became sort of sad.”
She nudged her shoulder into his. “Just kidding. But I am. Happy, I mean. Or I guess this is as close to happy I’ll ever be,” she drew her knees up to her chest. “What about you? Are you happy?”
“Acquaintances.” he replied, “Eh, more or less. She’s one that shares a bit too much to people that don’t really want to know.”
“Unless it would be funnier if she and I were best mates. Then she and I are best mates and she tells me everything. Even lets me slip it in a time or two.” Scorpius grinned at the fuming classmate standing in front of him. “Really Zabini, it’s not that serious. Let it go.”
She tried. She really did but Cam couldn’t help the face she pulled but instead of dwelling on it, she moved with a shrug. After all, did she really care all that much about Lily Potter?
She sat down beside Scorpius, much calmer and collected than she was previously.
“You know, I always thought you and I could end up with something.” She turned to him with a wide beam. “Funny how things turn out, isn’t it?”
Right, because that makes sense. I’m fine, really, just bored to the end of my wits.
*reaches over and grabs hand* Come on then, there’s only one thing to do when you’re bored!

Scorpius angered the dragon and he was kind of excited to see the result. Shrugging his broad shoulders he answered her, “Not sure. Scamander’s a good kid though. He probably only has feelings for you. Otherwise, why would he not talk to her?”
He grinned at her, “Calm down, love. It’s fine. If anyone needs a talking to, it’s probably her. She’s got the power to manipulate people and she doesn’t even know it.”
“Don’t tell me to calm down,” she said, slightly annoyed before her arms found their way crossed across her chest.
“You seem to know a lot about Potter…” her eyes narrowed. “What are you and her…like…?” She raised her brows.
*grins* And you’re still Cam. How’s the new relationship status treating you?
*shrugs* It’s strange and different. But…at the same time, nothing really has changed. How are you?
